US Senate Election Results 2008

According to CNN it looks as though the US Senate Election Results have been tallied. It looks as though the balance of the power has shifted in favor of the democrats.

With 35 Senate seats available in this 2008 Election 17 have already been projected to be for the Democratic Party. 14 have been projected to have been for the Republican Party. In addition to these Senate Seats there are currently 4 Senate seats that have been left undecided.

The US Senate Election Results give us approximately 56 Democratic Senators versus only 40 Republican senators and 4 seats yet to be decided. This definitely shifts the balance of power over to the democratic party.

With many key senate seats up for grabs and the obvious presidential election it could be a real change in administration depending on the voting turnout.

Weather.com is reporting rain in many of the eastern states. This should be good news for the GOP as historically those who are lower income tend not to vote in bad weather.
